2nd Annual Family & Friends Fishing Day at Brackenridge Park

This event is free to the public. Pre-reigster your child today for free basic angler lessons, and complete the registration process at the event site to receive their ID wristband. Adults must accompany children. Registration on iste is from 9am to 12pm with the event ending at 1pm. The Fin Addict instructors and volunteers will educate the youth on the basics of fishing through fun educational methods making this annual event full of excitment! We encourage outdoor comfortable clothing and apply plenty of sun protection. Registered children will be supplied bait for fishing while it lasts and have assigned fishing areas if using loaner fishing equipmemnt. Fishing rod loaner program is available for class participants with adult ID retainer and $10 cash deposit. You can fish the whole day with your own fishing equipment and bait.

Those who want to fish only may go anywhere along the river and drop a line. TPWD has granted exemption to the fishing license for those who fish or volunteer to assist with this event on October 28th from 9am to 1pm. This exemption is valid only in the area of the event and only for the date and time of the event.  San Antonians..let's keep reeling in the memories!
