About The Event
BCFS Health and Human Services-San Antonio PAL helps youth to reach their full potential by providing services that promote healthy development. This PAL activity is part of an integrative life skills training that combines fun and experiential learning to engage youth and prepare them for the challenges they'll face in their transition to independent living needs.Your donations are needed to provide a FREE Angler Education Outreach Program to 30 young adults. PAL provides services to youth aging out of the foster care system to expand their skills and knowledge, strengthen their self-confidence, create healthy community relationships, and learn self-guidance. Which are the same skills found in fishing along with others such as Nature Appreciation, meaningful Social Bonds, improved Coordination, Good Morals and Good Ethics, builds Confidence, get to learn Preservation and Patience, Focus, teaches Independence, and creating Memories that matter, and many, many more good healthy reasons. Fin Addict Angler Foundation brings people to the great outdoors by combining an appreciation for the sport of fishing with a respect for one of our greatest natural resources-water. We EDUCATE in areas of basic angler skills including stewardship with aquatic safety. To then ENGAGE through hands-on experiences, and EMPOWER newfound and experienced anglers to use their new knowledge while strengthening the bonds of togetherness. Donate today on our donate page and together let's make a foster difference! [Foster...encourage or promote the development of something, typically regarded as good]. Be a BIG part of the BIG picture! Help us make the DIFFERENCE. Any gift amount or in-kind donations welcome. Thank you.
